As any somewhat-savvy member of society knows, headlines don’t lie (only headline writers). So in the spirit of authenticity, here’s a link to an interview I did with the inimitable Dave Thackeray of Word & Mouth about how I got started as a small business marketing consultant, where I think things are going, and some of the surprises that I’ve encountered along the way.
I really enjoyed doing this interview, and I don’t think it’s hard to see why. Dave is a really fun guy to shoot the breeze with, and has an incredible talent for simultaneously teasing out and then neatly crystallizing useful insights from the semi-coherent ramblings of…well, me. Difficult work, to be sure.
